Speaker applications and content suggestions are now open for the 2018 International Food Blogger Conference and will remain open until April 24. We are ready to hear from you to create an exceptional schedule and content sessions for this special 10th anniversary event! If you are an expert, have a story that needs to be told, and can impart some necessary wisdom upon our community, then we want to hear from you! For 2018, we are again specifically seeking advanced content that will resonate with our many returning attendees.
SPEAKING & CONTENT OPPORTUNITIES
This year, we have two options for those interested in speaking and presenting.
- We are seeking blogger experts to participate in the “Pros in Practice: Where Marketers and Bloggers Converge” panel to be held Sunday, August 26. This panel will pair expert bloggers and successful marketing professionals from Zehnder Communications to discuss the following range of topics: Google Analytics; SEO; Social Media; Paid Media; Brand Pitches; and Media Relations. Read more here.
- We are also seeking content sessions for five different, one-hour break-out sessions on Friday, August 24. Session topics can span blogging & social media, writing, business & career, or the food industry – topics your fellow food bloggers and influencers will find informative and timely. When suggesting session topics, please make note of the topics currently on the 2018 agenda.
WHO SHOULD SUBMIT
Everyone is free to submit suggestions, whether you have attended the International Food Blogger Conference before or not. Those selected to present must be prepared to cover their own travel and hotel costs.
SCHEDULE
Open call for speakers – April 11 – April 24: We will accept proposals and suggestions.
Session review – April 25 – April 27: We will review all content submissions. We do not have enough room to include all submissions, and so will make decisions on which are most applicable, combine similar sessions, and edit others as we deem appropriate.
Alumni voting – April 27 – May 3: We will ask IFBC alumni and those currently registered to vote on submissions.
Content & Speaker Announcements – May 4: We will update the IFBC18 agenda and begin to contact speakers whose sessions will be included in the conference. Please note, speakers must pay their own travel and hotel costs.
We look forward to your ideas! Submit your content now and register to join us in New Orleans from August 24 to August 26 for the 10th anniversary of the IFBC!
