Videos are all the talk in the food blogging community. The post below was shared by Lennis Perez who will be conducting a breakout session on Saturday, September 30th at 9 a.m. about “How to Create a Video for Under $100.” Hoping to add videos to your blog? This is the session to attend at IFBC17. Not yet registered? There’s still time!
Feeling overwhelmed about how to even get started in video? Are you procrastinating and finding every excuse possible every time you think about making your first video? Do you think you have to break the bank, spend a fortune, and hire a professional team to get your video content ready for your audience? I was too, and I had the same thoughts as you do right now, but don’t worry because I have discovered a great solution!
This is Lennis here from Cook Dance Love Live, and I can’t believe we are only a few days away from the International Food Bloggers Conference! I’m so looking forward to connecting with all of you and this amazing community of bloggers, influencers, and sponsors.
As you may have seen in the agenda, I will be talking about how to create videos for under $100, and I can’t wait to tell you all the juicy content I have prepared for you. So today, I wanted to share with you a few of the topics I will be covering during the presentation and get you even more excited for IFBC (if that’s even possible).
Did you know that video is projected to claim 80% of all web traffic by next year? This is HUGE! I will be discussing statistics like this, and more, to convince you why you should jump onto the video wagon. Then I’ll tackle the big question – How do you even get started with video? I’ll walk you through the tools and strategies you need to get started and how you can do it without breaking the bank.
(Hint: A huge piece of the puzzle has to do with getting over perfectionism, maybe even more so than the actual steps of creating a video! Remember how you felt that first time you hit the publish button on your first blog post? It was a scary moment, but somehow you overcame that fear and did it. It’s no different with your first video.)
If you are feeling eager and motivated to get started before the conference, I have something special for you – my video editing checklist. This list includes all the steps I follow before hitting the publish button for my weekly recipe video. Interested? Comment below with your blog URL and I will send it directly to your blog email address.
I look forward to seeing you all at the conference and feel free to stop me at anytime during IFBC and ask questions. I will be available throughout the conference to sit down and have a chat (honestly one of my favorite things to do when attending). See you all soon!
Can’t wait for your session at IFBC Lennis!
Looking forward to meeting you Jane 🙂

My name is Lynn and my company is Food Crafters Alliance.
I work with young gourmet/artisanal/specialty food companies in California helping them build their brand. I really want to see this. I’m bringing 5 really cool companies to the IFBC – you’re going to love them! Floral infused jams from Maison de Monaco maisondemonaco.myshopify.com/, chocolate crickets from Don Bugito , exquisite chocolate made with very special ingredients from Endorfin foods, quick overnight oats from Dave’s Gourmet and finally, mouthwatering, incredible sauces from Spice Mama.
Anyways, all my members want to know about video because it is such a great way to convey messages and so helpful for SEO! I will be sharing what I learn with my members! Can’t wait!
Hi Lynn,
That’s so wonderful! I am glad you get to share this information with many others and hopefully encourage them to get on the video wagon!
I just sent you the checklist.
Look forward to meeting you next week and find out more about the different specialty food companies you work with.
Thanks!
Lennis
